Blog tweaking

Just a quick update on what I've done with the blog so far (aside from the posts themselves).  The design is a work in progress.  I'm going to post screenshots as I'm going along to track the changes.  Here's the first:
The Twitter link was easy enough to set up (see their widget resources here).  The YouTube feed settings can be accessed through the blog's Layout page by clicking Add a Gadget & selecting the Video Bar gadget.  I'd like to be able to show a link to my Github & LinkedIn accounts too, but I'll need to research a bit more as there doesn't appear to be a setting on either site for doing that.  The bookmark icons are from Shareaholic.  They replace the Share Buttons that can be turned off in the Blog Posts configuration page.

    Hi John,

    The blog is looking great. Thanks for the tips regarding gadgets, etc. This site is so counter-intuitive I find and I am fast losing patience! I should add stuff in though so improve my own so thanks for the advise!

    I'm just clicking on all the buttons & headings in the dashboard to see what they do. I don't think there's any fear of breaking the site by doing that. Also, checking out everyone else's blogs too to see what they've added. If I can't figure it out, Google usually comes up with something. Actually, I need to start using labels like you do, I wonder does that make the blog more searchable?
